Picture Book Review (From A-J)
Imagination can take you everywhere! I like this story about the twins' imaginations that bring magical adventure around them! When you are afraid, just imagine these adventures and you will be free of your worries! Great story by Adrian to embrace the imagination of the kids! I love it when my kids can role-play and play in their world as well!
Fantastic book about those living in a garden! Awesome book! This book is about the little creatures living in the garden, holding parties endlessly! However, a rebel started a war that everyone scrambled to protect their garden against! I love to read this short story about the birds and insects coming together as friends! I would recommend it to children around 7-12 to read if they like small garden creatures! Thank you, Sharon, for the cute book!
Amazing train ride to Sydney! Aww, Ava had fun on the train ride to Sydney! There are all kinds of window views that she had on her train ride! This interesting book also included interaction and drawing activities throughout! Great adventure with Ava!
Baby's worries are so cute! I wonder if they can worry? The illustrations have brought out the worries of the babies very well indeed! It is so funny! This is true when everyone asks if the baby will grow up to be like them. I find it cute that the baby worries too much. Humorous picture book!
Flurry hair is everywhere! Hahaha! Those who have a pet dog can relate! Their fur is so long that they are flying around the house! Time for a trim, Bear! Cute illustration! This book will definitely keep the children on their toes if they want to keep a pet dog!
Unique paper illustrations The unique paper illustrations make the book unique as well. The story is fun! It tells us about the unity of friendship. The cute behaviour of the farm animal characters makes the book enjoyable. I found that I enjoyed the book and wanted to know which illustration would come up on the following page. A rare illustration indeed. I hope the kids will like them.
Kindness is the way to go! Dolly is a kind dog! She never fails to help her friends when they need help! Dolly invited them on a quest with her and have an amazing journey! This awesome picture book has beautiful illustrations and there are some questions for young readers at the back! I have enjoyed the book!
A great book to learn your emotions! This book is illustrated with the kid’s emotions together with colours! His world turns bright with colour when he is happy, and turns dull and grey when he is sad. An absolute recommendation to parents with children aged 3-5 to decipher their emotions!
Cute picture book! This is a cute book written by a young author by the name of Declan. I recommend this book to young kids who love farm animals or cakes! Love the illustrations as well!
Rise and Shine dumplings! A counting book for young toddlers who are preparing to go to school! As usual, the book is neatly illustrated by Kelsey. The story somehow also rhymes with ‘ten little 🙈 jumping on the bed’ 😊 which makes me feel like singing too! Get this book for your young kids! You will not regret it!
Learn the Xmas story with the little dumplings! What a cute Christmas story with the little dumplings! Mother has read them a story from the Holy Bible and they are loving it! This is an adorable story by Kelsey Chen to teach the kids about Christmas! I strongly recommend it to parents to educate children aged 2-5!
Learn about the lunar new year! Learn about the lunar new year! Great for kids to learn about Chinese culture and what the different foods represent! I love the Chinese New Year because it means feasting time! This is also a book for all ages to learn about Lunar New Year! I also love the illustrations!
Colorful pictures! Follow the story of Jesus and the Easter adventure through this joyful book by Kelsey Chen! She also incorporates colors and number counting in the book! Fun for all to learn about the Easter Story!
I am hungry! Food is fun! As the Chinese say, it has four different tastes (sour, sweet, bitter, spicy)! Rachael illustrated all the food that preschool kids are attracted to! Yums! As I read along, I feel like eating them! I hope my kids are not picky and will try these different kinds of food! This is a good book to converse with them about food. I sure AM hungry now! Hope it makes you hungry too!
Teddy learns how to save wisely Cute bear Teddy arrived at the forest festival for a great time! However, he had spent all his money and had none left for his mummy. His mummy forgave him. Teddy had a great suggestion, which was to earn money for honey! Cute book for kids to learn how to have fun, but more importantly, how to save and spend wisely.
Cute rhyming book! A young piglet loves to go to camp and spend her time with her friends! It also tells what the piglet is doing in the summer camp! It is a nice summer camp book for younger kids. I love the illustrations and how vibrant it is!
Girl meets Gorilla This is a cute story that revolves around a girl named Greta, who got lost in a forest. She found a gorilla whom she thought might help her. Throughout her adventure in the forest, she finally got home.
Girls only club! That sucks! Haha. This is a story of how a younger brother is excluded from his sister and her friends' girls club! I, too, have a younger brother, but he always joins us because he is the only boy around. And that can be fun too! Nice book about friendship!
Andiamo! This cute book takes us on a tour around Capri, an Italian town! I love how the book taught us the Italian language as well! Thanks, Kelsey for the nice tour!
Great for parents to read if your kids are hard of hearing! I can relate to the book! *Laugh* This book is about a boy who is hard of hearing, and is always mishearing a word, which makes the situation hilarious! There is also a bonus content at the end of the book! Read till the end to find out! My son is always not hearing us properly. Either he is too engrossed with himself, or he just cannot hear us. I probably have to take him for a check-up after all. Thank you, Mr. Humdrum, for the wonderful book!
Cute and pretty illustrations! I like the interactions in the book, they look very lively! A good book for children to deal with morning habits! With the rhymed words, it is bound to stuck in your head! *Laughs*
Sophia learn drawing on her own! My son and I love to read this book. It is about a girl who learned how to draw well, upon on observing and growing baby pigeons on her balcony! Good education on self-esteem! And nice illustration done! Thanks Hanna!
Cute book! There is no place for a mouse in the house, the mother says. But the boy had made friends with the mouse and offered it a place to stay! This cute story has made me think of everything we have not allowed our children to do. I hope this story educates the adults too! Interesting rhyming book too!
Ooh a heartwarming story! When you are going to have a new sibling, you imagine all kinds of activities and adventures that you would want to do together! But alas, the baby is too small to do anything! I smile as I think of my kids as well. Thank you for the great book, Laura!
Mother’s love is boundless Such an emotional book of a mother’s love for her 3 daughters. The love grows as they age. It makes me think of my mum and myself being a mum as well. Awesome book, Bethany!
How to deal with things you don't like! I like the fact that the author and illustrator agree to put English and French languages in the book. I love the illustrations as well as the story! I smiled as I read the book. I can understand why the child does not like braces because everyone will make fun of him. The warmest part of the book is when his big brother educates him about braces and how to deal with kids who make fun of him. I would recommend this book to anyone, parents or children, who need education about things they dislike, just like braces.
